Agios Ioannis Lefkosias is a village surrounded by green slopes which guarantee a peaceful and calm atmosphere. It is a village which, as Karouzis distinctively mentions, is adorned by the “natural sculptures” which are created as the river corrodes marl and clay.
The community of Agios Ioannis Lefkosias is crossed by the river “Akaki”, which is a side river of river “Serrachis”. The river bed is covered by dense wild vegetation, tall eucalyptuses and age-long olive trees.
However, apart from the expanses of uncultivated land covered with wild vegetation, there are also cultivated expanses of land covered with grains, seasonal vegetables and pulses, as well as pieces of land which include approximately 35 to 45 thousand olive trees.
The green scenery in Agios Ioannis Lefkosias is enhanced by the Park with the playground at the new housing area called “Kokkini”, which is located west of the community and was created by the Community Council, as well as by a second new housing area which is located north of the community, at the location “Koraka”.
Those who wish to enjoy the natural beauties of Agios Ioannis Lefkosias can stroll along the Nature’s Trail which was created by the Community Council in 2007. This trail crosses the beautiful areas of Agios Ioannis Lefkosias and is 4.5 km long.
Undoubtedly, the people who visit Agios Ioannis Lefkosias can discover and admire gorgeous natural areas and encounter various species of the Cyprus countryside.
